Literary Vision: Bi-national Literature and Translation as Middle East Union Culture

Sat, 14. Aug // 16:00, Literarisches Colloquium Berlin / Digital (online only)

Digital event

The lack of translation from Arabic into Hebrew and vice versa is often described as a challenge to cultural understanding. Does the act of translation possess productive power? Participants in a recently established translation project at the Van Leer Institute in Jerusalem will present us with their latest publication, Amputated Tongue: Palestinian Prose in Hebrew and tell us about their shared binational working practice.

Moderated by Mati Shemoelof

The event will be held in English.
