The lack of translation from Arabic into Hebrew and vice versa is often described as a challenge to cultural understanding. Does the act of translation possess productive power? Participants in a recently established translation project at the Van Leer Institute in Jerusalem will present us with their latest publication, Amputated Tongue: Palestinian Prose in Hebrew and tell us about their shared binational working practice.
