Agents of Change: pioneering female MENA voices in Film & TV

Fri, 13. Aug // 18:00, Literarisches Colloquium Berlin / Digital (online only)

Digital event

An experiential conversation aimed at re-imagining the film industry within the Middle Eastern region. Our panelists will provide a special focus on women’s voices in film and TV.

Can and may we, in present-day Berlin, imagine a Middle East unified in peace and equality, across international borders and religious, cultural, and language divides? As women, how can we help one another achieve what sometimes feels like the impossible?

This panel is organized in collaboration with Women Creating Change (WCC). WCC fosters a thriving multicultural community of Middle-Eastern and North African (MENA) women in entertainment through collaboration and professional development. WCC is dedicated to promoting tolerance and solidarity between fellow MENA artists, and shining a spotlight on the voices of MENA women which are seldom heard in mainstream media. The panel is an amazing opportunity to have this very important discussion: How can we join forces and aim to create a collaborative and safe space for all Middle Eastern and Arab women in the entertainment business?
