Georges Khalil is the Academic Coordinator of the Berlin-based Forum Transregionale Studien and of its research programme Europe in the Middle East—The Middle East in Europe (EUME), that seeks to rethink key concepts and premises that link and divide Europe and the Middle East. He co-edited Di/Visions. Kultur und Politik des Nahen Ostens (2009), Islamic Art and the Museum. Approaches to Art and Archeology of the Muslim World in the Twenty-First Century (2012) and Commitment and Beyond: Reflections on/of the Political in Arabic Literature since the 1940s (2015).
