Amro Ali is a writer and sociologist at the American University in Cairo, a member of the Arab-German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities, visiting fellow at Forum Transregionale Studien and the Berlin Graduate School Muslim Cultures and Societies at Freie Universität Berlin.
